It’s a beautiful property with lovely lounges and dining room. Loved our room with a balcony, desk, sitting area, dresser, closet and separate shower and tub. The breakfast was excellent as was the dinner we ate there one night. Outdoor patio is set up for lounging and having a pre dinner drink. 10 minute walk to the lake or the nice-size town of Ambleside.

We selected Ambleside as it is central for touring the Lake District. It is a pleasant Town with plenty of shops & restaurants. It also has the biggest garden centre I can ever remeber being in. It was pretty busy even outside of a public or school holiday time so booking restaurants is usually necessary.

It was our first visit to Ambleside and we weren’t disappointed. We had a meal at Luigi’s which was amazing. The staff were very friendly and I would definitely recommend this restaurant and I am a fussy eater.
The weather was glorious so we had a few drinks in the beer garden at the Royal Oak pub.
Ambleside was about a 15minute walk from our accommodation, Windermere Rooms at the Wateredge Inn.

"Lucys om a plate' one of best restaurants I have ever eaten in... exceptional menu, quality, service and value for money.
we booked The Fisherbeck on line so we didn't really know what to expect. this hotel is medium sized and exceptionally well located in Ambleside. Our bedroom was very well appointed. very clean. modern bathroom with first class facilities. we included breakfast which was first class and set you up for the day. the staff were very kind, happy smiling faces and everywhere in the hotel was immaculate. we will definitely book again if we travel to The Lake district.
Fantastic little cottage right in the centre of all local amenities. Lots of pubs / restaurants on your doorstep. Everywhere was super dog friendly. Ambleside was a great base for us to explore the Lake District.
the cottage was beautifully decorated, lovely and cosy, with a smart tv in both the lounge and bedroom. The hosts were great, brilliant communication and very friendly. Couldn’t recommend more!
The hotel was beautiful and decorated to a very high standard. It's location was perfect and a 5 minute walk into Ambleside. We didn't eat in the hotel but the breakfast was amazing, one of the nicest breakfasts we have had on our trip. Our room was lovely and had everything we wanted. Would definitely recommend staying at Rothay Manor.
The owners were very friendly and nice people. Location of the guesthouse was the best one could ask for in Ambleside. Bed in the room was very comfortable and also I was very pleased with breakfast options offered. Surely had lovely breakfasts. View from the window next to the bed was amazing ! Sunsets every evening over the mountains.
This hotel is in an excellent location right in the heart of Ambleside, near to everything you need. The staff were friendly, the food in the bar was very nice. Breakfast was really good, could highly recommend the porridge :-)

It was self-catering, so there was no breakfast. The accommodation had everything we needed, especially in the kitchen. The location was great for traveling around the Lake District and it was very convenient to walk in to the village to the pubs and stores.
Spacious and clean. Very light. Good kitchen area and lovely bathrooms. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. Good bedding and towels. Comfortable sofas with lots of cushions. Great location near to the centre of Ambleside with parking.
The room and bed were massive with a nice view overlooking the street café. Expect to pay a little more in the Lake District, but the Ambleside location was a very good hiking/biking base. "English breakfast" was tasty.
Everything was how it should be - perfect location for exploring The Lake district and only 100 yards from centre of Ambleside and a short walk to lake Windermere. - superb. The facilities and accommodation are great.
The food was very good, small menu but everything we had was nice. The staff were all very friendly and good. the garden was lovely and was great for walking our little dog. The hotel made our dog very welcome.
Helpful and friendly staff. Genuinely had car parking on site unlike other bed and breakfast accommodation we have used in Ambleside who advertised having parking. Great variety of breakfast choices.
This is a lovely dog friendly hotel. The staff were very warm and welcoming. It was great being able to just walk down stairs to the restaurant, and it’s right in the centre of Ambleside.
Beautiful flat in Central Ambleside.Very spacious suitable for four adults.Perfectly clean a credit to the Fisherbeck hotel and it’s lovely staff for the upkeep of the flat and your stay.
